**Português** **_O último grito._** Dois anos após o segundo filme, durante a filmagem de um novo filme baseado na vida de Sidney (que vive sob outro nome), uma nova onda de assassinatos misteriosos agita a equipa do filmagens e todos suspeitam de um novo retorno do psicótico mascarado. Sidney, suspeitando que os crimes tenham alguma ligação com o passado misterioso da sua mãe, decide ir a Hollywood e ajudar as autoridades. Dirigido por Wes Craven, tem um elenco principal igual ao de outros filmes. Mas, contrariando o que vinha sendo regra até agora, é um filme muito mais sério e intenso. Se os outros filmes podiam ser considerados paródias, este filme só tem algumas cenas que apontam nessa direcção. O filme é um thriller sério, mas onde as cenas assustadoras não assustam o suficiente para ser um filme de terror, apenas conseguem deixar-nos na expectativa de seguir as investigações e ver quem é a próxima vítima. Desta vez, não sentimos nenhuma simpatia pelo assassino porque os personagens principais (Sidney, Dewey, Gale e até o detective Kincaid) evoluíram de forma dramática e agora demonstraram maior maturidade, complexidade e são mais capazes de provocar empatia no público. O único com o qual não simpatizei foi Cotton, um sujeito que está mais interessado na própria fama do que em qualquer outra coisa. O fim do filme é notável e é surpreendente o bastante para nos fazer pensar se realmente existiram, na vida real, mais casos semelhantes aos de Maureen Prescott. **English** **_The ultimate scream_** Two years after the second film, during the filming of a new film based on the life of Sidney (who lives under another name), a new wave of mysterious murders agitates the film crew and everyone suspects a new return of the masked psychotic. Sidney, suspecting that the crimes have some connection with her mother's mysterious past, decides to go to Hollywood and help the authorities. Directed by Wes Craven, has a main cast equal to other films. But, contrary to what had been the rule until now, is a much more serious and intense film. If the other films could be considered parodies, this film only has some scenes that point in that direction. The film is a serious thriller, but where the scary scenes do not scare enough to be a horror movie, they can only leave us in the hope of following the investigations and seeing who the next victim is. This time, we did not feel any sympathy for the killer because the main characters (Sidney, Dewey, Gale and even Detective Kincaid) have evolved dramatically and have now demonstrated greater maturity, complexity and are more capable of eliciting empathy in the public. The only one I did not sympathize with was Cotton, a guy who's more interested in fame than anything else. The ending of the film is remarkable and surprising enough to make us wonder if there ever really existed Maureen Prescott in real life.
