Desde criança, Georgia Nolan só tinha um sonho: se tornar bombeira, como seu pai. Infelizmente, no ano de 1932 em Nova York, as mulheres não podiam atuar nessa profissão. Quando os bombeiros da cidade desapareceram um a um misteriosamente em incêndio que queimou o teatro da Broadway, Georgia viu a grande chance! Ela disfarçou-se de “Joe”, um homem magro e esquisito, e entrou para o time improvisado de bombeiros que tem a missão de acabar com o incêndio e solucionar o mistério. Georgia precisa manter sua falsa identidade a qualquer custo, especialmente porque é seu pai quem está no comando dessa operação.

A beautiful animation, a strong and powerful analogy, every girl should watch it (and boys too), mandatory subject, it goes far beyond a well-made animation, and is whimsical, colorful and full of adventure, fun (the puppy steals the show with his little faces and mouths), 1936, at a time when girls couldn't be firefighters, and they still say that women don't need feminism, fighting with fun and intelligence (except for the arbitrary village, but with an empowered touch)… Powerful and attractive… Since she was a child, Georgia Nolan's biggest dream was to be a firefighter. However, in 1932, women were not allowed to work in this profession. One day, the city's firefighters mysteriously disappear in a fire. So, Georgia disguises herself as a man and joins the improvised team of firefighters whose mission is to put out the fire and solve the mystery. And Georgia needs to keep the secret at all costs, especially since it is her father, a retired firefighter, who is in charge of the operation.
